Meet Dr. Crystal Rose Tank

Dr. Crystal Rose Tank believes healing begins by truly understanding the person sitting in front of her. Whether a patient is living with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, navigating a neurological condition, or simply looking to improve their overall health, she takes the time to understand not only what is happening in the body, but how it is affecting everyday life. She is known for listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, and developing treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique health story rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Her approach combines the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern medical understanding to create individualized treatment plans that are both thoughtful and practical. Using acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, electroacupuncture, and other supportive therapies, Dr. Tank helps encourage the body's natural healing processes while empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to support their health between visits. She has a special clinical interest in treating chronic and acute pain, stroke rehabilitation and neurological conditions, stress and anxiety, immune health, therapeutic nutrition, supportive care during cancer treatment, and general adult wellness. She also enjoys helping patients achieve natural facial rejuvenation through cosmetic acupuncture, microneedling, and nanoneedling.

Before returning home to San Diego, Dr. Tank practiced at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, where she served as the hospital's Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. There, she worked alongside physicians and specialists caring for patients with complex medical conditions and completed advanced clinical training with Harborview Medical Center's Pain and Anesthesiology team, gaining extensive experience treating both acute and chronic pain within an integrated healthcare setting.

Dr. Tank earned her Clinical Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM), specializing in Pain Management, as well as her Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University. She also completed an Advanced Massage Therapy Certification specializing in Medical Massage and Pain Management through Mueller College of Holistic Studies. Her clinical training has taken her internationally, including advanced studies in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China, and Shuguang Hospital at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanghai, China. She has also completed advanced training in medical massage, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic techniques, facial rejuvenation, and neuro-acupuncture.

Dr. Tank is passionate about bridging Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern biomedicine, believing the best outcomes come from collaborative, patient-centered care. She values helping patients understand the "why" behind their symptoms and believes meaningful healing occurs when patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their care. Every treatment is designed not only to provide relief, but also to equip patients with practical tools that support lasting health and well-being long after they leave the treatment room.
